Laboratoire Genex is specialized in cosmetogenomics: the response of genes to cosmetic products.
These cosmetogenomics assessments can be performed on cell cultures, tissues, biopsies and skin explants.
Through cosmetogenomics analysis, product’s effects can be:

• identified through the study of genes expression on a large scale (microarray, qPCR)
• correlated with the protein expression of genes of interest (immunohistochemistry)

Laboratoire Genex has developed an expertise in:

• the analysis of expression profiles, identification of molecular mechanisms initiated after treatment of your ingredients or finished products and interpretation of the results
• carrying out a screening based on the quantification of the key genes expression (RT-qPCR) in which the modulations illustrate the product’s impact at crucial points of the signaling pathways involved in skin physiology
• searching in silico plant extracts or molecules of interest for a specific biological response or pathways
